How does personality type affect leadership?

Leadership is about knowing yourself, understanding how others perceive you, and motivating and influencing different personality types. Awareness of the 16 key personality types makes leaders more flexible in their interpersonal style. It is important for managers and executives to realize that each personality style has its preferences for expressing energy, processing information, experiencing the world and making decisions. This awareness of personality types helps leaders to manage direct reports better, delegate effectively, affect change, resolve conflict and be more open to feedback. Personality Type Report

Based on your individual responses, the instrument produces results to identify which of sixteen different personality types best describes you. Your personality type represents your preferences in four separate categories, with each category composed of two opposite poles. The four categories describe key areas that combine to form the basis of a person's personality as follows: 1. Where you focus your attention 2. The way you take in information 3. The way you make decisions 4.How you deal with the outer world Your personality type is indicated by the four letters representing your preferences such as ENTJ. Your results are highlighted in a detailed assessment report. This Assessment is inspired by the work of Katharine C. Briggs & Isabel Briggs Myers, authors of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®). NewSkilz is in no way associated to the Myers & Briggs Foundation or CPP.
